What is the motive of low cost trainings?
Here is the catch. Offering training in an over crowded situation for a low cost can only be offset by sales of some sort. We are speaking of the manufacturer or distributor of equipment and supplies luring students under the guise of quality training. The entry level student is shown the "tools of the trade" by the company manufacturing and selling them. A new entry level student is not able to determine state of the art from antiquity. The student ends up with high priced equipment and inventories of problematic supplies. That's the way that it works. After spending days in training, receiving little to no practical "hands on" work the student is given a certificate and lots of merchandise. They end up lacking confidence and competency; they produce poor quality work or give up. Most seek additional training elsewhere.

Credentials:
As a nationally acclaimed cosmeceutical trainer, Lisa Honeywell trained dermatology and plastic surgery practices in pre and post-op skin care treatments designed to maximize surgical outcome. Her broad base of skin care knowledge included: protocols for laser resurfacing, intense pulse light, cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, injectables, dermal fillers and aggressive chemical peels.
Lisa has traveled internationally for skin care and cosmetic manufacturers training make-up artists in the latest fashion trends and medical estheticians in post-op skin care and camouflage make-up techniques. She has presented seminars to audiences of over 3,000 from the Orpheum to the Sanger theatres.
Serving two consecutive years on the advisory board committee for San Jacinto College, Lisa enjoyed imparting knowledge to esthetics and cosmetology students.
A medical esthetician practitioner since 1985 Lisa turned her focus exclusively to medical micropigmentation technical training in 1998.

Presently:
In 2007 and 2008 Lisa was honored with the request to participate in writing national examinations for micropigmentation state licensing. As a subject matter expert, she and a team of experts wrote two examinations, basic and advanced. These exams are offered in five languages. The goal is raising the bar in the micropigmentation industry. Public safety (OSHA guidelines) is the chief concern and only when each and every state elects to adopt standardized exams will practitioners share a common level of proficiency, competency and safety.
